A Looe man has won £9,000 on TV show Deal or no Deal, despite knocking out the top prize in his first round.

Harry Morris, 62 went on the popular Channel 4 show, where contestants can win up to £250,000, so he could take his family on holiday.

The father-of-one joined other contestants and filmed three shows a day for ten days.

Harry, who lives on the Sunrising, East Looe, wiped out the top prize of £250,000 in his third box and turned down the banker's first offer of £1,007.

His second offer was £250, which he also turned down and before the start of the third round Harry asked Noel if his wife Jenny, who had been with him the whole trip, could come and sit with him.

'Noel was fantastic and a very nice chap.

'He looks after you and he plays every game with you and really feels for you.

'Jenny got a kiss off him and hasn't washed her face since,' he joked.
