Portico for new village hall?

I am a semi-invalid and OAP and am taken by my friend in his car and pass via the village of East Taphouse.

I note the newly constructed Village Hall and its plainness - as yet not officially opened. To offset its austere appearance I suggest the added feature of a portico at the main entrance. A canopy of simple suitable design supported by suitable ornate brackets or by the use of two columns. The facade of the canopy could display the necessary title, date etc.

Such a portico could be constructed as a memorial by a donor. Is there someone out there with £500 to make a start?
