Porters A look set to retain their Section A league championship after a good 4-1 away win over the Bullers Arms. It means a 3-2 win in their last league match with the Fountain Ringers will secure them the title. Match winners were Peter Ivey, Nathan Gilbert, Will Doidge, T Nelson and Craig May.
Caradon B enjoyed a 4-1 victory over Barley A with wins from Matt Hogan, Pete Crowle, who sank and eight-baller, Steve Rendle and Julian Reynolds. Shane Pollard saved the brush.
The Victoria Vikings had an impressive 4-1 win over Ship A thanks to Paul Firth, Darren Worden, Rich Rendle and Gavin Cole. Chris Langmaid took the opener for Ship, sinking an eight-ball clearance.
The Fountain Ringers moved up to third place with a 4-1 away win over Dobsons A gained by Mark Fielder, who also had an eight-baller, John Harris, Dave Walters and Dave Stevens.
The Section B championship will be decided in the last match of the season when Porters B entertain leaders the White Horse Warriors needing at least a 4-1 win to topple the Warriors from the top.
The Warriors had a 4-1 home win over Highway B with wins from Richie Pearce, Rich Hooper, Tony Rogers and Russ Hemmings, who takes the Section B most wins title.
Porters B continued their fine form with a 4-1 win over the Railroaders thanks to Martin Coe, Jordan Whaley, Gavin Peacock and James Smale. Dave Beer replied.
The most impressive win of the week was gained by Barley B who whitewashed visitors Stag A 5-0, moving them to third position. The winners were John Hooper, Mark Usher, Dan Smirthwaite, Chris Yabsley and Kevin 'Vialli' Gayton who ended Dave Jackson's most wins hopes.
Highwayman A enjoyed their 3-2 win over the White Horse Snakes where the match winners were Bernie Hardy, Pete Trembeth, Stewart Player, Rachel Sleep and Mike Parsons.
The Stag Knights are well poised to lift the Section C championship after an excellent 4-1 victory over the Sports Club thanks to Dave Price, Paul Pethick, Jamie Ryan and Sam Ellacott with Dave Whitford taking the last for Sports Club. The Knights need a 3-2 win over the Vixens to secure the title.
The Stag Hunters had a 3-2 home win over the Butchers Arms in a close match where the scoreline was tied through Jon Crinks, Jon Livesly, Pete Toull and Ken Crowle before Rob Banfield clinched victory in the decider. C enjoyed a 4-1 win over the Victoria Vixens where the match winners were Tony Walton, Martin Dunn, Emma Vine, Andrew Bartlett and Jo Chatting.
