Cavaliers 3 King Terriers 6: A Wainwright and F O'Shaugnessy got the Queens Cavaliers off to a 2-0 lead at home to King Terriers, who then took the next three through M Norman, C Davies and S Woodman. H Welsh levelled at 3-3 for Cavaliers. King Terriers then took all three doubles to claim victory.
Extra Smooth 2 200 Club A 7: Extra Smooth started well with Pete Jones beating Andy Waters. A Shawyer, K Davies, D Notman and I Canty replied for 200A with J Cornish winning in between for the Smooth who trailed 4-2 after the singles. Once again 200A proved strong in the doubles, taking all three and the match.
Wilcove Hotshots 1 Carbeile Warriors 8: Carbeile closed the gap at the top to one point after this win. K Tullett, R Pender, P Sampson, I Jenkins, A Arnold and B Sampson made it 6-0 after the singles with Ian Jenkins having an eight ball clearance in his match for the Warriors. Hotshots took the first doubles but it all was in vein as Carbeile took the next two and the match.
King Pins 5 Queens 4: K Harris, M Webb, T Savage and W Walkden put the King Pins 4-2 ahead after the singles with D Pearce and A Knight replying for the Queens. Pins then made the match safe with the middle doubles from T Savage and M Walkden. Queens recovered with two of the doublest.
MOF 5 Flatliners 4: Mark of Friendship led 4-2 after the singles with S Bailey, D Dillon, A Walker and J Lewis all winning, I Brown and P Dempsey replying for the Wheelers Flatliners. Mark then took the all important first doubles to secure the win but let Flatliners come back with the last two doubles.
Carbeile Toffs 4 Jubilee Old Boys 5: All square after the singles with T Borthwick, Liam Carroll and Gavin Bettinson all winners for Carbeile, while P Dawe and K Keegan all won for the Jubilee Old Boys. Carbeile then lead with the first doubles only to see them lose the next two doubles to hand the victory to the Jubilee by 5-4.
Division two
Rowing Club B 6 Mosquito 3: J Welch, J Hodgon, A Welch, Mike and Mick Miller kept the leaders at the top and unbeaten in the league with their singles wins. Jason Bates was the only winner for the Mosquito in the singles Rowers B then took the first doubles to lead 6-1 only to let the Mosquito back with the last two doubles leaving the Rowing Club B winners on the night by 6-3.
200 Club B 6 D/C Dolphins 3: B Smart, G Nash, L Clarkson, S Woods and H Jory were all singles winners for 200 B, while H Small won for D/C Dolphins; 200B then took the first doubles to lead 6-1. Dolphins regained some pride winning the last two doubles.
Jubilee JFT 5 Dream Team 4: Jubilee JFT lead 4-2 through J Doherty, J Fowle, C Todd and M Letts with I Grey and D Lorimer winning for the Dream team. Jubilee J.F.T. took the first doubles that was needed to win the match through J Doherty and J Fowle only to lose the last two doubles to eventually win by 5-4.
