Police have named the 47-year-old victim of a two-car collision at Sandylake on the A390 between Lostwithiel and East Taphouse on Monday as Wayne John Pusey from Par.
Mr Pusey was driving a silver Ford Ka when it collided with a blue Ford Focus estate driven by a 28-year-old woman from Bodmin just before 10.30am on Monday. The woman's injuries were said by police not to be life-threatening.
Three passengers in Mr Pusey's car, understood to be members of his family, were also injured – a 31-year-old woman who was in the front passenger seat was not seriously hurt but a 13-year-old boy in the rear seat suffered serious injuries. A seven-year-old boy sitting next to him was not badly hurt. All the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
On Wednesday evening the family of Mr Pusey, who was born in Southampton, paid tribute to him.
