THE players observed a minute's silence for former Luckett player Ken Furse, who sadly died the previous week.
Ken played for Luckett for many years and for a long time was the club treasurer.
After a delayed start to this Holiday Monday clash, because of rain, Luckett put Hayle in to bat and with six batsmen out with only 78 on the board it looked like an early tea.
But Paul Lello and James Franklin had other ideas as they put on an unbroken stand of 119, Lello finishing on 78 not out and Franklin 53 not out.
