Residents in St Cleer Parish are being asked to vote today (Thursday 15 July) on whether to adopt a Neighbourhood Development Plan.
Members of the public will be able to cast their vote at St Cleer Memorial Hall or Darite Village Hall up until 10pm.
More than 80 people attended an exhibition at the weekend to find out about the plan.
During the event in St Cleer village, Nigel Lapthorne of Horizon Farm Shop and Clifford’s Café presented a display about how the Horizon site might be developed – and revealed that a planning application would soon be in the pipeline.
Another piece of news which delighted residents of St Cleer village, said parish councillor Derris Watson, was that Mr Lapthorne plans to build and open the shop which was in the original planning application for the Ocean Housing site below the Memorial Hall.
Speaking of Saturday’s exhibition, Cllr Watson, who is the NDP committee chairman, said: “There was a mix of people both in age and gender, and all were keen to find out more
“We were overjoyed that so many expressed real support for the plan and said they would vote for it.”
