PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council in South East Cornwall.

PELYNT: The road from the junction to the south of Kites Nest to the junction to the south of Trenake in Pelynt is set for road closures in August.

It is set to take place between August 18 and August 20 and is required to enable Circet to undertake pole replacement works in the area.

The closure is restricted to the daytime, with it set to be in place between 8am and 6pm on weekdays only.

The road affected is from the junction to the south of Kites Nest to the junction to the South of Trenake in Pelynt between grid references SX 18820 54968 and the property known as Trepen House.

An alternative route will be signed on site with access maintained for pedestrians and vehicles going to properties in the affected area.

HESSENFORD: An upcoming road closure in Hessenford has been confirmed by Cornwall Council.

It will affect Church Hill and the closure will be from August 17 to September 21.

The lengthy closure will be in place to enable wall repairs to take place.

The road impacted is Church Hill in Hessenford between the property known as Guilder Cottage and the junction with Bake Lane.

An alternative route will be signposted on site and there will be a maintained access to properties in the area of the closure for vehicles and pedestrians.

LISKEARD: Multiple roads in Liskeard are set to be closed overnight in early September.

These affect the following stretches of road: The road from Culverland Road to the A390 between Merrymeet Farm and Callington Road, the A390 between Callington Road and South West of Hill Farm and the A390 between South West of Hill Farm and the South West of Trebeigh in Liskeard.

The closures will be in place between 9pm and 6am.

Cornwall Council say that the closure is necessary to enable safety for the access of a joint box and gully clearing works in the area.
