SOUTH East Cornwall’s first football golf park could be created just outside Pelynt.
At Ashen Cross Farm near Pelynt, the landowner hopes to build a facility on 12 acres of land adjoining the road from Pelynt to Polperro.
The idea is in its very early stages and the applicant is seeking advice from Cornwall Council on putting together a full planning application.
The craze for football golf has swept the nation in recent years and the UK’s first football golf park was opened in St Austell in 2015.

Hazards and obstacles along the way make it more of a challenge to beat par for the course.
Planning agent Andrew Thomas says that the site near Pelynt would cater for a maximum of 20 families per hour during peak periods.
Next month, Cornwall Football Golf at St Austell will host the sport’s first ever English Open tournament, with eight nations currently registered to compete.
