Penn Cornwall Tennis league- Liskeard A are soundly beaten

In the Men's Premier Division the only two unbeaten teams maintained their records with Penzance A gaining their good 9-2 result at Bude A and Sunnybanks going one better with a 10-1 margin over Liskeard A. Rab Visualingam and Keith Songhurst were again the Penzance stars whilst Tim Webster and Trevor Stern did not drop a set for Sunnybanks.

St Austell B got off the mark in Division Two (East) in a close 7-4 win over Wadebridge C, whose David Williams/A Clark closely won both of their ties.

In Division Three (East), Bodmin B climbed to the top with Mark Parkinson and Steve Durnan not dropping a set against Truro D.

In the Ladies' Premier Division, Bodmin and Truro B could not be separated even on games countback although Bodmin provided the only unbeaten pairing in the strong Karen Masters/Alison Nicholls partnership.

In Division One (East), Bude D still seek their first win after their 3-8 defeat at home to Wadebridge A. Gill Goodwright and Cheryl Leach were unbeaten for the winners.

In Division Two (East), leaders St Austell D consolidated their position at the top with a comprehensive 10-1 defeat of Looe whilst second placed Wadebridge B dropped two points in their 8-3 win over their own C team. Launceston kept in touch with the closest possible margin of just one extra game in a 7-5 victory at Liskeard who were so close to their first win of the season.
