Helpers and supporters will gather this month to mark the end of Phase Two of the Saltash Memorial Peace Garden project.

A ‘thank-you’ event is being staged on July 31 at the garden, which honours those who have lost their lives in war and conflict.

The event, which starts at 3pm, will be attended by Mayor Hilary Frank.

The Ashtorre Rock Players are to perform an extract from Gift of Years, which tells the story of the ill-fated First World War Gallipoli campaign and the aftermath of the conflict.

Saltash Heritage Museum will be open so people can see the First World War trench exhibit.
