A letter from Cornwall County Council was read at the recent meeting of Callington Town Council regarding road widening on the A388.

The letter, from Nigel Higgins of the minor improvements department, stated that the proposed ramping scheme was rejected.

However, the widening of the footways would be started early in the new financial year and that he would inform the council of this when it is arranged with Cormac.

Tony Nettle claimed the footway widening would be starting in May.
