LISKEARD Town Forum will have a full agenda of local items for discussion when it meets next week for the first time since prior to the pandemic.
New volunteers are needed to take on the positions of forum chair and vice-chair – and the ideal people for the role, said current chair David Ambler, are those who believe in the Forum’s ethos of including all residents, businesses and groups in the conversation.
On the agenda is a presentation from Safer Liskeard, and residents are invited to attend and raise any concerns they have on safety around the town.
Liskeard and Looe Foodbank will also be there to talk about what they’ll need in order to support local people this Christmas. A collection table at the meeting will be set up for those who may wish to leave produce for the Foodbank.
Updates will be given and time for discussion on the Liskeard Library redevelopment and the Safe38 campaign.
“We will also have presentations on a new Cornwall Council development group being set up to consider the future development of the whole of Liskeard based on the neighbourhood plan,” said David Ambler.
“Following concerns raised by members over local footpaths, a representative of CORMAC will be attending to discuss how footpaths are managed, and how the community can help.”
The meeting at Liskeard’s Public Hall will take place on Wednesday, October 20 with an AGM from 7pm, prior to the regular meeting at 7.30pm.
Here’s a list of what Liskeard and Looe Foodbank require for their Christmas provision for local families in need:
