Citizen’s Advice services will be made more freely available to Callington residents thanks to the town’s Rotary Club.

While the advice bureau does runs appointments in the town, these have to be booked in advance, said town clerk Helen Dowdall.

Now, for a 12-month trial period, a monthly drop-in session will be held, with a trained adviser on hand to meet anyone with a problem or concerns.

The news has been welcomed by Callington Town Council.

Approximately £750 to fund the sessions has been donated by Callington Rotary Club and this sum has been matched by the district level of the organisation through the Rotary Foundation charity.

The pop-in advice bureau is due to start on Friday, August 25, at the Town Hall.
