’Not everyone makes the history books, but everyone has a story to tell. Our Heart of Conflict Exhibition looks at how people in Cornwall kept body and soul together during the years of World War One, how they lived and how they loved,’ says Ian Wall, director of the Royal Cornwall Museum.

Now ‘Bring in Your History Day’ offers local people the opportunity to have their Great War family heirlooms, war medals and more examined by industry experts and have the stories behind these objects, and their value, uncovered.

Bonhams experts Chris Allen and John Millensted will be in the county for one day only to identify objects from this important era.

‘Bring in Your History Day’ will run at the museum from 10am-2pm on Tuesday, March 7.
