More men and boys are needed to take part in the Saltash Pageant.
The pageant, which is part of Saltash Festival 2000 programme of events for next summer, will be shown at matinee and evening performances on Brunel Green at Saltash Waterside on July 1, 2000.
Ken Speare, the pageants producer, reassured the would-be actors that they would not have to master lengthy speeches.
By the end of the evening, some 60 residents of all ages had signed up to take on various roles. It is still not too late for others to get involved, either as performers or behind the scenes. In particular more men and boys are needed.
