MRS Elsie Hope presided over the first of the two recent meetings of Callington United Sisterhood and read 'Happy Thoughts' along with Carrie Duance, Vida Pearce and Thelma Fultcher. Speaker on the Life of Saul was Pastor B Brown of Callington Mustard Seed. Pianist was Eileen Wooldridge and tea was served by Barbara Paynter and Vida Pearce. The following week the chair was taken by Carrie Duance and she read Happy Thoughts with Vida Pearce and Elsie Trevorrow. The speaker, Mrs Bette Kendell, took memories of her childhood as the theme of her talk. Pianist was Elsie Trevorrow and refreshments were served by Elsie Hope and Margaret Wilkins.
