A LITTLE girl’s gestures have spread good cheer to her neighbours and beyond.
Maisie McGrady, 10, who lives on the Barbican in East Looe, has made colourful chalk drawings outside her home and messages of thanks to those working hard – even re-doing them when it rains.
And the Looe Primary Academy pupil has also been thinking about the elderly in her town, said her mum Deb.
’At Easter she did 100 cards for Hillcrest House Nursing Home and some elderly members of the community, and gave them all chocolate out of her own pocket money. I’m very proud of her.’
Maisie later returned to the home with some birthday cards she had made in case anyone was celebrating their birthday during the lockdown, and the residents had a thankyou card and an Easter egg to surprise her with when she arrived.
’She got a nice thankyou card and Easter egg from Hillcrest when she took up some birthday cards in case some people have a birthday during lockdown.
’She has tried her best to keep the front of our house cheerful.’
