Liskeard-Looe pulled off one of the results of the season by seeing off second-placed St Austell at Lux Park last Saturday. They were quickly off the mark when, after the visitors were deemed to be guilty of going off their feet in a ruck, the kick from 25 metres was slotted by full-back Nick Parker with just five minutes on the clock.

And the Lions extended their advantage 12 minutes later when Baz Hocking drove over from 12 yards for an unconverted try. On 28 minutes, after a series of forward drives, the ball was shipped to the backs and went out to the right, where wing Kieran Murchison crashed over for a try, converted by Parker for a 15-0 scoreline.
