Students from Callington Community College teamed up with the town’s Lions to spread a little cheer in the run-up to Christmas.

Young people at the college donated foods, festive treats and gifts to fill 35 hampers. These have been distributed locally to families in need by NHS health visitors.

Callington Lion Ken Aspinall, with staff members Sam Day and Debs Kemp, had arranged for the collection and delivery of the boxes. The Lions Club also donated food vouchers, exchangeable at a local supermarket, to each hamper.
