The Cornish Times received a letter from Mr Gregory, Pelynt, it said:

"I know I am not the only person to wonder who authorised the hideous graffiti which has appeared on the building opposite the Public Hall in Liskeard. 

"This does nothing to enhance the standing of Liskeard as an attractive town."
