MOTORISTS faced lengthy delays on the A38 into and out of South East Cornwall this afternoon and evening.

Queues built up after an accident at Tideford, around Church Road, in the afternoon.

Then, just before rush hour, the busy Carkeel Roundabout was partially blocked due to a broken-down vehicle. Police said traffic was slow in both directions.

If drivers were on the other side of the Tamar Bridge, there were further problems.

On the A38 Parkway near the Marsh Mills Roundabout heading towards Manadon, an accident caused delays.
