THOSE participating in the fifth round of the Winter League Better Ball Competition enjoyed a nice February morning, in complete contrast to the recent wintry conditions.
The course was in very good condition and this was reflected in the scores.
Competition will be keen in the last round scheduled for March 1, as there are several teams in contention for the overall prize.
Result: 1, R Kellow/M Briggs 43 pts; 2, J Baker/N Gerry 42; 3, M Cornish/D Barriball 40; 4, R O'Neill/P Bott 40.
After the competition a good crowd of members watched the Captain, John Bassett, the Ladies Captain, Teona Chegwyn and the Junior Captain, Adam Chapman, drive in.
