With a little more luck and killer instinct in attack Launceston could have been three up in the first 20 minutes. So it was a big blow when St Austell took a 1-0 lead after 30 minutes and added a second before half time from the spot.

Launceston were without five players so great credit to their young side who, despite going two down fought back to level at 2-2 through Darren Fryer and Sean Johns who equalised from 25 yards.

Saints went back in front with 15 minutes left and Launceston were unable to claw their way back Darren Volz had another faultless game at sweeper and credit must go to all the lads for not giving up. Whilst Launceston hopefully welcome back acouple of players for Tuesday's cup game at home to St Austell they applaud the efforets given by those who so nearly gained the club there first away point of the season.
