A FUN jelly fight will be taking place at Millendreath Beach tomorrow (Tuesday) as a local group gears up for summer antics.
The Looe Marine Conservation Group is taking to the water on paddle boards and kayaks for the silly five a side jelly lobbing - but it has a serious message.
The group wants everyone to give up water balloons ahead of this year’s Looe Raft Race.
Agar jelly, made from powdered seaweed, is a natural, odourless and environmentally friendly alternative, says the group.
‘Our goal is to help people make their own conscious decision not to buy or bring balloon water bombs to water events,’ said Gill Bridges.
‘But we don’t want to stop people having a bit of fun! So we came up with ‘Throw Jelly Not Balloons’.
Tomorrow’s event at Millendreath will be the launch of the Throw Jelly not Balloons campaign, and anyone who’d like to join in with the fun should head to the beach at 11am.
