An afternoon of flukey winds greeted the sailors of Looe Sailing Club on Saturday, tesing both safety crew and sailors.
In fact, some of the course marks were moved during the race to try to improve the course as wind direction changed.
The most fiercely-contested competition proved to be in the Enterprise fleet, with close racing being the order of the day and positions changing at regular intervals, until Tim Jackman got in front and controlled the final stages of the race.
Special mention should be made of Steve Spree, helming for only the second time, for giving it a go in difficult conditions against much more experienced opposition before retiring early to the safety of the bar.
Thursday night saw the crews having their annual go on the tiller in the Crews Race.
Young Joe Jackman was congratulated afterwards on winning the Enterprise race, with perhaps a few tips from dad David.
