What to do when the rain starts?

A new book, Rainy Days in Cornwall, offers a solution to this problem with 20 suggestions of free and interesting things to do in Cornwall in less than perfect weather.

Each expedition is designed to take half a day and suggestions are made for combining them together to make an enjoyable and cheap wet day out with a break for lunch in the dry.

Author Jean Patefield said she was inspired to write the book after seeing summer visitors trying to enjoy themselves in inclement weather.

She is an experienced walker and the author of numerous walking guides, in Cornwall and other parts of England.
