St Blazey player-manager Glynn Hooper was well satisfied with this deserved victory, which put his side three points clear at the top of the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Premier Division table.
'On the balance of the play and on chances created – although Saltash perhaps had a little more of the possession – we caused them problems and hit the post twice,' said Hooper.
'The Saltash keeper pulled off two or three terrific saves, whereas our keeper has been brave but I do not remember him making outstanding saves.
