The Tamar Valley Walking for Health group sets off for a morning walk to Calstock via Old Kelly Lane on Thursday, November 9, along the top of the Danescombe Valley. On footpaths, this 2.3 mile walk includes some small downhill sections.
Charlotte Dancer from the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team said: ‘The Walking for Health walks take place every Thursday morning, offering walks at a gentle pace.
‘On each walk there are two fully trained walk leaders, giving all the support and encouragement you’ll need if you’re just starting out, or getting back into shape after an illness or operation.
‘Most walks begin at the Tamar Valley Centre, Drakewalls, near Gunnislake. It’s a great way to meet new people, and it’s free.’
The walk starts at 10.10am meeting at Tamar Valley Centre, Drakewalls. The walk will take around 1.5 hours.
