PUBLIC Health England and Cornwall Council are working alongside a secondary school in South East Cornwall after three coronavirus cases were confirmed.

The sixth form cohort, along with one group of 33 Year 8 students, and one member of staff at Liskeard School and Community College, have been told to isolate following confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the setting.

The school said it was working in line with the latest government guidance – and Cornwall Council’s public health team will continue to work closely with the school to ensure appropriate action is taken.

Rachel Wigglesworth, Interim Director of Public Health for Cornwall Council, said: “Liskeard School and Community College has acted quickly in response to the confirmed cases and we are working with them to provide advice and guidance in line with our Local Outbreak Management Plan.”
