Callington Town Council is urging people ‘not to be afraid’ to use the public access defibrillators in the town.

Heartsafe defibrillators have been installed outside the toilets on New Road and at the Swingletree Inn in Kelly Bray.

The codes to unlock the machines are provided when you call 999, and it is impossible to use the equipment incorrectly, says the council.

‘The machine talks you through how to use it,’ a spokesperson said. ‘Don’t be afraid to use it if you need to – you could save someone’s life’.
