St Luke’s Hospice is urging people to put their best foot forward, take a leap into the sky or even scale the Great Wall of China to raise funds that ensure end of life care is available in our communities.
The charity’s latest events include Men’s Day Out, on Saturday, March 28 which will see the chaps gather for a day to remember, striding the city streets before they return to Plymouth Albion RFC for a well-earned pasty and pint and a game.
Ladies will turn Plymouth pink on Saturday, July 11, with its popular Midnight Walk. This year includes a new challenge – 20 miles for 2020 starting at 20:20 hrs – in addition to the five and ten-mile routes. Walkers will set off from Home Park (Plymouth Argyle FC) and be wearing Midnight Walk’s signature bright pink t-shirts.
For those who’d prefer to take the plunge the charity is offering the opportunity of an exhilarating skydive on Saturday, March 21. The 15,000ft leap is free for those who raise a minimum of £395 in sponsorship for the charity.
Looking further ahead - a once-in-a-lifetime challenge - The Great Wall of China Trek is taking place from November 6 to 14, 2021, offering participants an unforgettable adventure. Those who are interested are invited to an information evening on Tuesday February 11 to find out more.
