POLPERRO Youth Club have just benefited from two charitable donations, totalling £2,600. Polperro Parish Council contributed £2,100 to the club, while Looe Lions donated £500. The Youth Club was formed in May last year and is currently open three nights a week. It is designed to offer youths a place to socialise after school hours, as well as giving them a chance to develop social skills. The money received from the Parish Council and the Lions will go towards much-needed improvements to the centre, with new carpets, new heaters, floodlights and a coat of paint high on the list. The Polperro Youth Club are currently looking for volunteers to help assist with the running of the club, which is open on Monday, Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm until 10pm.
