A frozen pasty has landed, from space, on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall.

The pasty, made with skirt beef, potatoes, onion and swede, was sent to the edge of space on a weather balloon.

The Rowe’s hand-crimped savoury meal reached a height of 35,482m before returning to Earth.

The pasty, launched from a school in Hayle, west Cornwall, where students are undertaking a space project, was completely frozen.

Delighted with the success of the mission, Becci Blackburn, of Rowe’s, said she was ’over the moon’.
