St Dominic....................................7
Delabole......................................3
ON a very heavy surface after overnight rain, St Dominic started this Premier game brightly. Playing their best football for many weeks it was no surprise when Neal Horsley shot them ahead after 20 minutes. Within a minute Jason Gregory made room for himself on the edge of the box to score his first goal for St Dominic and make it 2-0.
The remainder of the first half saw the same pattern of play with the Delabole keeper, the only thing standing between themselves and a hammering. Time and again he thwarted the home team with good saves from Horsley on more than one occasion, Chris Wood and Gregory. At the break it remained 2-0.
The second period was very similar, and after 10 minutes Gregory grabbed his second after a ball was only partially cleared. Other chances were wasted until Gregory broke through on his own to slot home for his hat-trick and St Dominic must have eased off and to Delabole's credit they never gave in and scored twice in quick succession.
But St Dominic were not finished and scored twice more through a left foot drive from Craig Pote and another quality finish from Gregory, his fourth.
Delabole had the last say and they should be congratulated for their efforts as they scored a third to reduce the arrears.
Man of the Match for St Dominic must go to Jason Gregory for his four goals, but could have been given to any of their forward going players.
Godolphin.......................................2
Callington...................................0
CALLINGTON failed to impress for the second week running against a strong determined Godolphin side. The Callington keeper Rowlings was called into action as early as the first five minutes and made a fine save diving away to his right.
Callington slowly got into the game, but were pressured into playing long hopeful ball, in doing so giving the ball back to Godolphin who to their credit did try to play the ball out of defence with good effect at times.
With half time approaching and no real goalmouth action to talk about both teams went in level at the break.
The second period started in the same manner, but with only ten minutes gone Griffith was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area. Clark stepped up and scored from the spot. From this point Callington dominated the remaining of the half but failed to penetrate the Godolphin defence and in the remaining minutes were caught on the break. Clarke netting his second with a low shot into Tav's bottom left corner. Manager Paul Blatchford said Godolphin thoroughly deserved their win through their hard work and commitment, something we could learn from for the remaining of the season and it starts next week in the Knock Out Cup.

Determined Polperro
Chillaton Reserves ................1
Polperro Reserves...................3
WITH a number of fixtures falling foul of the weather, both teams were glad of a game on a wet and wind afternoon.
Playing with the wind in the first half, Chillaton started strongly, and put Polperro under pressure almost immediately. However, the visitors defence again held firm and was the platform for some good attacking moves on what was a very heavy pitch. Some superb running from Jordan Whaley and Mark Pengelly had Chillaton's experienced side in all sorts of trouble, and only some poor finishing prevented Polperro taking a deserved early lead.
However, it was Pengelly who opened the scoring when he guided a good right wing cross into the net after 20 minutes. Chillaton were at that point unable to cope with the skills of Polperro's young players and it was against the run of play that the home side equalised just before half time. Following a goalmouth scramble from a corner, Jamie Rich cleared off the line, only to see his clearance rebound off Mark Pengelly into the net.
This only made Polperro more determined, and they began the second half strongly, using the wind to their advantage. Polperro's lead was restored early on when Jamie Rich scored with a great diving header from a corner. Polperro increased their lead five minutes later when Mark Pengelly's deep cross was deflected into the net by the Chillaton goalkeeper. Chillaton finished the game strongly, but were unable to win anything against Matt Pengelly or Jamie Rich at the back.
Polperro were also indebted to their control midfield pairing of Aaron Spry and Del Palfrey, who continuously won tackles and gained vital possession.
Man of the match was a difficult choice, with Rich and Whaley outstanding, but they were edged out by Goal Keeper Shane Eastly, who gave a faultless display in awful conditions.
North Hill......................................7
Bodmin Town.................................3
WITH Daniel Sharp making his debut beside "Spud" Pocock in the middle of the defence, North Hill dominate the first half. Adrian Parsons opened the score in the fifth minute when he picked up a long ball and went forward on his own. Phil Lucas immediately added a second with Parsons finding the back of the net twice more before half time.
Parsons was a continual worry to the Bodmin Town defence and he scored his fourth goal early in the second half. The lively Lucas produced his second with a well placed shot. Thanks to the generosity of the North Hill team Bodmin acquired their opening goal, then went on to get two excellent goals through Joe Martin and Luke Jefferies.
Quarter an hour before the final whistle sub Russell Pugsley came on and promptly slotted the ball in the net after a superbly centred ball. This was a game played in good spirit ably refereed by Mike Rigler (Liskeard).
