A CELEBRITY welcomed readers and visitors to a town's first book fair. Callington Book Club organised their first ever book fair to be held in Callington Town Hall last weekend. During the sale 11 traders sold books on a wide range of different subjects. Celebrity author Veronica Henry opened the fair on Saturday which ran until 4pm. 'We were very pleased Veronica came,' said Janet Slack, who organised the event with Michael Joll. 'It was a good day, several of the sellers asked if they could come back.' Another book fair has been organised by the club for Saturday, November 24.
