Fowey Festival of Arts and Literature has launched its annual competition to find the very best young writers and artists living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, through the Awards for Young Writers and Artists 2020.

The theme is ‘The Spirit of Cornwall’ – a challenge to capture the essence of what it means to live in this part of the world. An impressive line-up of local and national writers and artists will judge the entries including Wyl Menmuir, author of Man Booker nominated novel ‘The Many’.

The deadline for stories, poems and artwork is March 6.
