Frustrated passengers will have a chance to put their questions to the manager of the Torpoint Ferry at a meeting of the Town Council this evening (Thursday Dec 20).

David List, who is general manager of the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry, will speak to local councillors ahead of the open forum section of tonight’s meeting at 7pm.

Commuters using the Torpoint Ferry have experienced a prolonged period of delays over the past two months with one of the three ferries out of service and the others operating on reduced speed. The manager has apologised for what has been described as an unprecedented few weeks of setbacks.Torpoint's town clerk Milly Southworth said that the Council appreciated the fact that Mr List had agreed to come to the meeting to answer questions from town councillors. She said: 'This evening is about Mr List coming at the invitation of the Town Council because he realises the importance of the ferries to our town.'
