Fountain Lions increase their lead at the top of Section A to three points over Market following a win at St Neot A and Market's defeats at bottom place Legion B.

Lions went into top gear at St Neot winning 14-4. Rod Olver and Ian Runnals, Alan Wyatt and Andy Maslem all won five for the Lions. Rob Strang and Janet Hoskin won three with A Copplestone and Phil Rowe being brushed but they at least won the beer legs.

Legion B went into a 6-3 lead over second place Market then won five of the next games to record their first league win of the season 11-7. Les Dennis and Bob Fricker won five, Clive Sargeant and George Tripconey won four for the Legion. Simon Harris and Rob Trevarthen won three for the Market.

The points were shared at the Highwayman derby game, the A team were 8-7 up going into the last round but the C team won two of the last three to gain a point. Peter Antony and Gerald McDonald scored most of the A teams points with five games. Likewise Francis Julian and Nigel Williams for the C team with five. Dave Exall and Bernie Hardy were brushed.

London won 11-7 away to Police A with 2-1 being the game scores throughout the match. London went into the last round 9-6 up and clinched the points as Doug Knight and Larry Penter with five, Chris Penter and Andrew Bunt with four all won their last games for the London. Paul Mitchell and Al Cole top scored for the Police with four. John Waters and Andy Wallace had the big 'L'.

Con Club went into an early 5-1 lead over Dobsons before Dobsons came back to 7-5 down. However the final games were shared so the Cons won 10-8. Val and Sue Pryor won four with both other pairs winning three each. Andy Powell and Steve Spearing top scored for Dobsons with four.

Wheal Tor won a close match away to Garrison 10-8. Stan Skews and Dave Clatworthy won five for Wheal Tor. Stan Summers and Nigel Puckey won four for the Garrison.

IN Section B White Hart A's lead is cut to one point as they shared the points with the B team and White Horse demolish Barley B with a 16-2 win.

White Hart A got off to a flying start over the B team winning the first three games. The B's then returned the favour by winning the next three games. The A then went into a 9-6 lead but the B fought back to level the scores and take a point. All pairs won three games on both teams resulting in a very level even.

White Horse stormed into a 9-0 lead after only three rounds against Barley B. They then dropped two games before winning the last six games. Rob Allen and George Keast won all six with Nobby Clark and Steve Hawes, Bernie Hoskins and Terry Kurn all winning five for the White Horse. Shane Pollard and Neil Cloake were brushed.

Fountain were 5-4 up against Police B and then won seven of the next nine games to win 12-6. Lee Prout and M Pengelly won five, P Coad and S Parker won four for Fountain. Jerry Clemes and Dave Crocker won four for Police B with Gary Abbot and Paul Cozens were brushed.

Legion A went 7-2 up away to Cheesewring before Cheesewring staged a recovery to win five of the last nine games but too late to get a point. Allan Randall and Barry Lewis won five for Legion A. Steve Coombs and Kevin Gregory won three for the Cheesewring.

Lord Eliot were 5-1 up away to Barley A and then lost the plot and only won five of the last 12 games. However it was enough to get the win 10-8. Bill Haynes and Doug Braidwood, Tris Mutton and Stu Braidwood all won four for the Eliot. Lisa Halet and Marion Denning, Duane Goode and Pete Stewart all won three for the Barley.
