A POPULAR festival that brings together live music and top culinary talent music has announced its first wave of acts for its 2027 event.

The Rock Oyster Festival is being held at Dinham House on the banks of the Camel Estuary between July 29 to August 1.

Electronic duo Orbital will be headlining Friday night, chart-topping indie-pop favourites Bastille will top Saturday’s bill and the legendary Nile Rodgers and CHIC will be bringing the weekend to a close on Sunday.

There will also be performances from Brit Award-winning Hard-Fi, TV personality, chef and DJ Gok Wan, indie songsmith Jamie Webster, Scottish singer-songwriter Rianne Downey as well as sets from General Levy, A Skillz and Plump DJs.

A curated line-up of top culinary talent includes TV presenter Matt Tebbutt, Michelin-starred chef and Great British Menu finalist Tom Brown, live-fire cook and food writer Genevieve Taylor, former England rugby captain and Celebrity Masterchef winner Phil Vickery and Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown.

The Rock Oyster Festival will bring together more than 50 activities for families, alongside a programme of wellbeing experiences.

Festivalgoers can feast at pop-up restaurants and long-table banquets, explore street food stalls and oyster bars, or discover local ingredients on guided foraging walks. Masterclasses will offer the chance to learn new skills, while live chef demos bring the culinary line-up to life.

Families can join the ‘Wonderland’ fancy dress parade, learn bushcraft and survival skills with Under The Canopy, build real wooden dens with Tinkertown, take a spin on the vintage fairground. Pottery painting, crafts and sensory play will keep little hands busy, while a kids’ crèche gives parents the chance to take a breather.

There will also be space to slow down with sound baths, tai chi, yoga and cacao ceremonies, before gathering for a campfire singalong.
