Preparations are now well under way for Saltash U3A’s 10th anniversary celebrations on Thursday, July 28.

A boat trip to Calstock and back, with music on board, has been booked followed by a cream tea at Saltash Sailing Club.

There is hope that the ‘boat’ at the waterfront, planted by the Gardening Group, will be in full bloom by the day.

The Saltash Sailing Club and The Ashtorre Rock have been paramount in ensuring that all members are made comfortable on the day and the group’s sincere thanks are extended to them.

There are a few tickets still available for U3A members and these can be purchased at the July meeting.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday, July 14, from 2pm-4pm at Saltash Wesley Church, when Yvonne Oram will talk on the subject ‘The Third Age on Shakespeare’s Stage’.
