As we report in this week’s edition of the Cornish Times, on sale now, three local primary schools took part in the East Cornwall Grass Track Cycling Tournament held at Wadebridge. Teams of four cyclists had to ride one behind another in a peloton for six laps. Pupils from Dobwalls, St Cleer and Pensilva took part in the competition. Teacher Oli Jones said: ‘The children drew inspiration from the Olympic gold medalists at the Rio games and put 100 per cent effort into every lap they cycled. It was great to watch!’
