PUPILS at a Cornish school have won the chance to speak to astronaut Tim Peake.

Fowey River Academy students have been left feeling over the moon after hearing that they have been chosen to chat with the British astronaut.

A group of Year 9 astronomy students, led by teacher Laura Davies, have taken part in the ‘I’m An Astronaut, Get Me Out Of Here’ school competition funded by the UK Space Agency and European Space Agency.

As a winning school, Fowey will take part in the final live chat with Major Peake when he returns from the International Space Station later this year.
