EIGHT new apprentices are sought to join Michelin star TV chef and restaurateur Paul Ainsworth in 2021.
Applications for the apprenticeship course, which has been run for the last two years through Truro and Penwith College, close on December 31.
All graduates to date who have completed their training have achieved the top Distinction grade and been offered permanent employment across ‘The Ainsworth Collection’.
Apprentice roles include entry level Commis chef and Hospitality team member.
Olivia Carthew from Bodmin, joined the Academy as a Hospitality Team Member Apprentice in 2018 when she was just 17. The following year she flew to Saudi Arabia to work at ‘A Taste of the World’, a six-day gastronomic celebration for food lovers.
Now 19, Olivia is now running her own front of house section at Paul’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Padstow, ‘Paul Ainsworth at No6’.
She describes her apprenticeship as “the best start you can get for a career in hospitality”.
Paul Ainsworth said: “I decided to work with Truro and Penwith College because I loved what I saw. The tutors have the same energy and goals as I have, to do our bit for our industry and make a difference.”
