SCHOOLCHILDREN performed in front of audiences of hundreds at Sterts Theatre in a production of Robin Hood.

Every child from St Cleer Primary Academy had the chance to sing, dance and act in the show, from the cast of soldiers to the Merry Men and those taking on the main parts.

Dances performed by each of the school’s nine classes were much enjoyed by the audience, who joined in with enthusiastic boos at the appearance of the Sherriff of Nottingham and cheers when Robin took to the stage.

In a letter to the pupils, chair of the governors Steve Murray wrote: ‘I hope you are all extremely proud of yourselves and what you achieved.

‘You demonstrated resilience, perseverance, courage and a sense of good fun. You all worked so well together, encouraging and cheering each other on- it was a joy to watch.’
