MOTORISTS in East Looe are being urged to be plan for their journeys in advance as a route through the town is set to be closed for nearly a fortnight.

The closure on Barbican Hill will be in place 24 hours a day between midnight on Monday, October 12 and the end of the day on Friday, October 23.

Drivers who use the route to get in or out of East Looe have been advised to allow extra time for their journeys by Looe Town Council.

The road closure details on the one.network website states that a 5km diversion will be set up, taking drivers out to St Martins and back.

The nearby footpath, known as Belinda Lane, will also not be accessible for pedestrians during the 12 day period.
