Liskeard Drama Group will be holding open auditions for actors and singers who would like to take part in a melodrama called Poor But Honest. This will be performed as part of a Victorian evening to be held next March a conjunction with a local choir. The auditions will be held on July 12 and 13 from 7.30pm downstairs in the Methodist Church in Barn Street, and everyone is welcome. The group has not staged a full-length play since its successful production of The Crucible in 2003. It is now keen to expand membership in readiness for the new season which also features a comedy The Nose of Nikolai Gogal in December.
