An excellent 9-0 win over the Caradon moved the Rowett within four points of second placed Noughts and they did it without their inspirational captain Bunny Libby. Rowetts winners were Jason Mark, Kevin Lee, Lee Bryant, Tracy Hocking, Mark Lewis and Adam Jago. The Campers managed only three legs but they were equal on tons scored.

Pelynt B managed a 7-2 win over the Ship B. Pelynt had wins from R Tamblyn, Dunny Dunn, Baz Phillips, Max Facey and Nigel Davis. Maureen Brown took out Pelynt's Stuart Gray for the Ships only singles win which was joined by a doubles win.

Noughts picked up a point on Pelynt as they beat the Blue Peter 8-1. Winning for the Noughts were Jerry Jago, Andy Grant, Alan Moreton, Grant Stanbury and Cess Pethick. Gill Bicknell got the Blues only point of the night with a 2-0 win over Colin Smith.

Rowett B tried to keep pace with their stablemates as they beat the Millhouse 8-1. Wins came from Dave Nutty, Roger Pill, Darren Thomas, Mike Pengelly and Dennis Shaw whilst the Mills only point came from Mick Knight.

Pelynt A picked up their third win out of four with a 7-2 victory over Ship A. Pelynt won four of the singles through Matt Johns, Joan Geach, John Snowden and Dean Haynes. Ivor Williams and Stuart Butler's singles wins accounted for the Ships two points.

The 3 Pilchards moved into fifth place with an impressive 6-3 over the Legion. Singles went 4-2 with Mickey Lawford, John Dalton, Ashley Courts and Deano Dicks winning for the fish whilst Ken Crowden and Paul Blower won for the Legion. The doubles went 2-1 in favour of the Pilchards to round off a good win.

At the halfway mark in the season three players are on 10 wins, Jerry Jago, Max Facey and Nigel Davis. Jago is the only undefeated player. Numerous players are on nine wins. Jerry Jago has most tons with 42 closely followed by Max Facey (40) and Dean Haynes (39).

The charity doubles take place at the Ship on Thursday 20th January, all players who wish to enter must be present at 7.50 pm.
