Luckett II v Wadebridge II
Luckett's second team batsmen were in fine form as they made a big total of 241-8 wickets. Paul Ingerson was top score with 50, Ian Roberts 34, Robin Gold 32, Jon Bolitho 23, Brian Robins no 20 and Darren Piper 18 in an all-round good team's performance. The wicket takers for Wadebridge were R Franks (1-41), S Taylor 3-41 and D Wills 4-40.
Wadebridge's batsmen were also in good form when they came into bat and in a very tight finish their were to lose by only eight runs after scoring 233 all out.
They were 206-5 in the 40 overs, needing only 35 more runs to win with five wickets in hand, but some good, steady bowling by Luckett's bowlers kept the scoring in hand as wickets fell. Dave Colwill bowled very well, taking six wickets for 50 in 16 overs, well supported by Tom Politho 3-58. P Marsh scored 46, D Brid 40, M Capel 39, A Vercoe 33, R Franks 14, A Richards 12, L Orton and R Wills both 11.
Luckett (20) beat Wadebridge (9) by eight runs.
