Regulars make

a cheeky date

A CHEEKY but tasteful calendar, depicting regulars of Downderry's Inn on the Shore pub with just enough on to shield their modesty, is now for sale. The calendar, of male regulars, is being sold for £5 to raise funds to provide a skate park for local children. The landlord, Dougal Maynard, features as Mr April.

Eden joins

a top six

THE impressive Eden Project, near St Blazey, which has just closed its doors to put the finishing touches to the scheme before it opens fully in the spring, has joined a special tourism partnership.

It has joined with English Heritage, the National Trust, Plymouth's National Marine Aquarium, Paignton Zoo and the Royal Horticultural Society's gardens at Rosemoor, to form the Prestige Attractions of Devon and Cornwall. This aims to bring more visitors to the attractions, which all aim to conserve the environment. Eden, at which around £80 million has been spent, has already attracted about half a million people.
